Como homenaje al Boxster concept car de 1993, Porsche celebra los 25 años de su gama roadster con un modelo conmemorativo especial, el Boxster 25º Aniversario. La edición, limitada a 1.250 unidades, se basa en el modelo GTS propulsado por el motor bóxer de 4.0 litros y 400 CV (294 kW). Rescata numerosos detalles de diseño del concept car que inició esta historia de éxito en el Salón de Detroit de 1993, escrita desde 1996 cuando se lanzó la versión de producción sin apenas cambios en su aspecto. Ahora el Boxster suma más de 357.000 unidades producidas.

QUARTER OF A CENTURY OF PURE DRIVING PLEASURE
As a tribute to the 1993 BOXSTER concept car, Porsche celebrates 25 years of its roadster range with a special commemorative model: the Boxster 25 years. This limited edition is restricted to 1,250 units worldwide and based on the GTS model powered by the 4.0-litre six-cylinder boxer engine with 294 kW (400 PS). This model inherits numerous design features of the Boxster concept car that heralded the success story of the open-top two-seater at the 1993 Detroit Motor Show. The production version that was launched in 1996 had hardly any changes in its visual appearance. Now, the Boxster has a total figure of more than 357,000 units produced.
Una de las características más llamativas de esta serie limitada es la reinterpretación en algunos elementos del color Neodyme, un marrón brillante parecido al cobre que proporciona un atractivo contraste con el tono base, un plata GT metalizado que ya usaba el coche de exposición de 1993. En la edición especial, este color se emplea en detalles del frontal, en las tomas de aire laterales, en la denominación del modelo, y en las llantas bitono de aleación de 20 pulgadas. Aunque también se puede solicitar en negro Deep metalizado y en blanco Carrara metalizado. Siguiendo el estilo del modelo original podemos combinar el interior en cuero burdeos con una capota de lona roja con la inscripción “Boxster 25”, aunque también podemos optar por el color negro.
One of the most striking features of the special model is the reinterpreted colour Neodyme, a copper-like shimmering brown, which provided an exciting contrast to the GT Silver Metallic colour on the pioneering 1993 showpiece. On this special edition, it is used on the front apron, the side air intakes with mono bar as well as for the lettering and the two-tone, 20-inch alloy wheels. The Boxster 25 years comes in GT Silver Metallic, although Deep Black Metallic and Carrara White Metallic are also available. In line with the style of the historic original, the special model combines a Bordeaux leather interior with a red fabric convertible top with “Boxster 25” embossed lettering, although both are also available in black.
