Como cada año desde el 2001, el 14 de febrero es la ocasión de una cita privilegiada entre Blancpain y la mujer. Para este año la Manufactura propone una interpretación celeste de su modelo Villeret Women Date en una edición limitada de 28 ejemplares. Esta novedad, dedicada al día de los enamorados, está marcada por la ligereza. La esfera realizada en nácar blanco invita a elevarse más allá de las nubes, donde Cupido se oculta de aquellos que fueron tocados por su flecha. La fuente de todos los deseos está representada por el segundero, que porta en su vals un corazón rojo combinado con la correa de aligátor del reloj. Las agujas de las horas y los minutos, caladas, exaltan el refinamiento de esta pieza, convertida en un objeto precioso gracias a un disco horario y un bisel con diamantes engastados. Para Blancpain, la mujer es a la vez musa y capitana. La Manufactura se inspira en su delicadeza para componer piezas de una sutileza deslumbrante, dejándose guiar mecánicamente por su osadía. Así, el alma de este reloj-poema, contenida en una caja de oro rojo de 33,2 mm, reside en un movimiento de alta relojería con cuerda automática, el calibre Blancpain 1151. Derivado del famoso 1150, posee una espiral de silicio y una reserva de marcha de cuatro días, y ofrece la visualización del calendario. Porque la belleza es también –y sobre todo– interior, un fondo de cristal zafiro deja entrever el mecanismo finamente decorado que marca el tiempo con voluptuosidad.

This year, the Manufacture offers a heavenly interpretation of its Villeret Women Date model in a 28-piece limited edition. Dedicated to celebrating lovers, this new model is all about airy lightness. The white mother-of-pearl dial is an invitation to soar above the clouds, where Cupid playfully hides from the gaze of those he has struck with his arrow. The source of every desire is symbolised by the seconds hand, sweeping a crimson-red heart matching the watch’s alligator leather strap along in its dance. The openworked hour and minute hands accentuate the refinement of this timepiece, enhanced by the precious touches of a diamond-set chapter ring and bezel. Blancpain sees women as both muses and captains. The Manufacture draws inspiration from their inherent delicacy to compose soft and sparkling creations, piloted by mechanisms reflecting the boldness of their nature. The very soul of this lyrical watch, housed in a 33.2 mm red gold case, resides in a self-winding Haute Horlogerie movement: the Blancpain calibre 1151. Derived from the famous 1150, it is endowed with a silicon balance-spring and a four-day power reserve, as well as a date display. Because beauty is first and foremost an inner quality, a sapphire caseback reveals the finely decorated intricate workings that voluptuously mark off time.
